Engineer I (Big data)
- Be a member of the active team and help build software through consistent development practices.
- You will design and implement internal process improvements: optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure, and automating manual processes.
- Create data visualization utilizing the data pipeline that provides actionable insights into areas like user experience, productivity, and IT visibility.
- Engineering of AI/ML models on the data to build meaningful insights & predictive analysis
- Keep the data separated and secure with the right encryption and masking algorithms
- Run pilots to design the data architecture to scale with the increased data volume
- Enhance the quality and outcomes by partnering with product management of products like data analytics and visualization.
- Foster and support the culture of innovation, ownership, accountability, and customer focus
- Participate actively and constructively in agile team meetings and application reviews
- Deliver on team’s strategy and prioritizes initiatives
Professional Qualifications
- Up to 6 years of software development experience specifically in data engineering platforms. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred
- Experience in various data engineering technologies especially Big Data, Streaming, and Cloud technologies like AWS, Snowflake, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hive, etc.) and have at least 1 Big data implementation on platforms like Cornerstone, Teradata, etc.
- Experience in creating Large-scale data engineering pipelines, data-based decision-making, and quantitative analysis
Business Logic Developer II
- Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops responsive applications using the best engineering practices
- Performing hands-on software development, typically spending most of the time writing code and unit tests, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints
- Performing ongoing refactoring of code, and delivering continuous improvement
- Manage your own time and work well independently and as part of a team.
