The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions’ public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions’ Software Enterprise division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world. Our services leverage Cloud Computing infrastructure on Azure to build at scale.

As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be a key contributor to platform development activities. The team works on developing services, tools, and processes to support other Motorola Solutions’ engineering teams as well as deliver solutions to our customers. You will be working on a high-velocity, results-oriented team that leverages cutting-edge technologies and techniques. The right individual will be motivated and will have a passion for automation, deployment processes and enabling innovation. Your efforts will help to shape engineering culture and best practices across Motorola Solutions’ Software Enterprise organization.

- Design and development of custom software solutions that centralize common functionality
- Building a robust Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment platform
- Develop automation tools and services to minimize delivery time and increase developer productivity.
- On-call, night and weekend work are occasionally required for services developed by the team.

Qualifications:
- Experience with development of custom network services (HTTP, WebSockets, or similar)
- A working understanding of at least one coding and scripting language (C#, JavaScript, Node JS preferred)
- Knowledge of application layer protocols, including HTTP, SOAP/REST, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, TLS
- Familiarity with tools for performance monitoring
- Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn
